Paper Handling

The Banner Media Tray is an extension of the Multi Purpose Feeder and allows the automatic feeding of up to 50 sheets of 24 lb. banner paper. It also serves as an extension of the output tray, to hold the printed banner paper as it exits from the printer. This tray supports banner paper in sizes from 8.27 to 8.5 inches wide (210 to 216 mm) to 14 to 48 inches long (355 to 1219 mm), for weights from 24 to 36 lb. (90 to 135 gsm). The stack height is 10 mm. Banner paper must be printed with Paper Weight set to Heavy All media which can be fed from the Multi Purpose Feeder can be used when the Banner Media Tray is attached. The tray cannot be used with a finisher, stacker or mailbox. Banner paper is not supported using duplex mode.

The Special Media Drawer enables you to feed quantities of custom-size media that range in 1 mm increments from 76.2 mm x 123.8 mm to 215.9 mm x 355.6 mm (3 in. x 4 7/8 in. to 8.5 in. x 14 in.). The minimum size supported in the drawer is 76.2 mm x 123.8 mm (3 x 4 7/8 inches). Paper (16 to 47 lb., 60 to 176 gsm), envelopes (16 to 28 lb, 60 to 105 gsm), labels, transparencies and card stock may be used from this drawer. Includes the 550-sheet tray. The Universal size setting formats the page for 215.9 x 355.6 mm (8.5 x 14 in.) unless the size is specified by the software application. Paper size, paper and tray-present and tray-low sensing are supported. Size detection is enabled for A4, letter and legal paper as well as B6, C5 and #10 envelopes. Other standard sizes may be selected if automatic size detection is turned off. The 550-sheet drawer supports A4, Letter and Legal sizes. Paper (20 to 47 lb., 75 to 176 gsm) and envelopes may be used from this drawer.

This unit supports A4, A5, Executive, Folio, JIS B5, Letter, Legal, Oficio and Statement sizes. Paper (16 to 32 lb., 60 to 120 gsm), transparencies, and labels may be used from this unit.
