The Juniper MX960BASE-DC is a high-performance MX960 Universal Routing Platform engineered for large-scale enterprise, cloud, and service provider networks that require reliable, scalable, and carrier-grade routing. Built on a 14-slot modular chassis, this base configuration is optimized for DC-powered environments, making it ideal for telecommunications facilities and mission-critical data centers. The MX960BASE-DC includes two DC power supplies, two fan trays, two Switch Control Boards (SCBs), and one Routing Engine (RE), providing a robust foundation for deploying advanced routing services. Powered by Junos OS, the platform supports IP/MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs, broadband edge, cloud interconnect, and high-capacity data center networking. Its modular architecture allows organizations to expand network capacity with compatible Modular Port Concentrators (MPCs), Modular Interface Cards (MICs), and additional Routing Engines as network requirements evolve.
