Control As Many As 8 Computers or Servers from Anywhere in the WorldThis NetDirector® Cat5 KVM switch offers BIOS-level access to multiple computers and servers in a complex, demanding IT environment. The B064-008-01-IPG provides complete control of up to eight computers and/or servers directly, including blade servers, from a single monitor, USB keyboard and USB mouse. Dual redundant power supplies confirm the unit will continue running in the event one power supply fails, ensuring 24/7 reliability. A Laptop USB Console (LUC) port allows direct connection of a laptop for easy console operation of the KVM switch.All-in-One Network Management for Critical SystemsThe B064-008-01-IPG offers a comprehensive, cost-effective network management solution that installs in 1U of space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included hardware. No server-resident software is required, so server performance and reliability are never compromised. Flash-upgradable firmware over an Ethernet network fine-tunes compatibility with emerging standards.Supports All Major Operating Systems and Most Web BrowsersThe B064-008-01-IPG supports all major server platforms and VT100-based serial devices. Because compatibility is based on common hardware standards, rather than system software dependencies, almost any platform can be accommodated. Supported web browsers for users who log in remotely include Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla, Safari, Opera and Netscape Navigator.Simple Network Control That Gives You More FlexibilityThis Cat5 KVM switch is designed to ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. Built-in IP capability allows up to two users—one local and one remote—to access the network independently and simultaneously. An optional dial-in connection (modem port) is provided to ensure access in situations when the KVM switch is not available over the primary network. You may also select a connected computer using on-console pushbuttons, GUI (graphical user interface), OSD (on-screen display) or keyboard hotkey commands. An LED per KVM port indicates when a computer is connected to the port, when it is powered on and when it is selected.High-Resolution On-Screen Display Offers Multi-Language SupportThe advanced OSD with high-resolution video up to 1920 x 1200 (at 60 Hz) with 24-bit color depth provides a GUI with management tools, including custom port labeling, auto-scanning and panel array mode. The OSD may be set to display in English, German, Russian, Japanese, traditional Chinese and simplified Chinese.Allows Connection of Either PS/2 or USB Keyboard and MousePS/2 and USB console ports are included. Only one keyboard/mouse combination may be connected at a time.Supports Both IPv4 and IPv6 AddressesThe B064-008-01-IPG supports IPv4, Link Local IPv6 Address and IPv6 Stateless Autoconfiguration protocols. You may set the IP address manually or have it automatically assigned via DHCP server (the default method).Heightened Security of Every ConnectionThe B064-008-01-IPG offers three levels of password protection (super administrator, administrator and user) to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to connected servers/computers. Remote authentication support is provided via RADIUS, LDAP, LDAPS and Active Directory. The B064-008-01-IPG also incorporates advanced encryption technologies: 1024-bit RSA, 56-bit DES, 256-bit AES and 128-bit SSL. It also supports high-grade FIPS 140-2 level 1 security standards.Network-Wide Storage Media AccessVirtual Media capability allows any computer connected to the KVM via a B055-001-USB-V2, B055-001-UDP, B055-001-UDV or B055-001-UHD server interface unit to access DVD/CD drives, flash drives and other storage media from a remote computer, as if it were directly connected. This allows administrators to perform file transfers, install software and perform diagnostics across a network. Three USB 2.0 ports are provided on the front panel for use with Virtual Media or USB peripheral devices.Energy-Efficient Operation Prolongs the KVM’s LifespanTemperature sensors automatically increase or decrease the speed of the unit's fans as necessary to ensure efficient cooling. This decreases the amount of energy consumed, while prolonging the life of the fans and KVM switch.Free Management Software IncludedFree NetDirector-AXS management software is available for accessing and controlling the B064-008-01-IPG. From a single interface, you can remotely access server ports and manage KVM settings. 8-Port DVI KVM Switch Is Ideal for Applications That Demand Secure NetworksThis KVM switch is recommended for any government, military, finance, education or healthcare environment where tight security of sensitive data is of utmost importance in a world of constantly changing cyberthreats. Each KVM port is an electronically isolated channel, making it impossible for data to be transferred between connected computers through the KVM, even when the computers are of different security levels. The single-monitor switch supports crystal-clear high-definition video resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 (including 1080p) at 60 Hz.NIAP PP4.0 Certified to Meet Today’s Top Information Assurance StandardsThis KVM switch is certified by NIAP (National Information Assurance Partnership), which is operated by the National Security Agency (NSA), to the latest Common Criteria Protection Profile for Peripheral Sharing Switches Version 4.0. Discrete processing paths to each connected system prevent data leakage, transfer and crosstalk between adjacent ports. Peripheral isolation enables data to flow from device to host only. Top-of-the-Line Security Features Keep Your Data SafeSpecial protection prevents re-programming of firmware, so the switch’s KVM logic remains unaltered. The keyboard buffer clears automatically after data transmission, ensuring no information is left stored. Plus, you can only access connected computers via buttons on the switch’s panel. Other port-switching methods, such as on-screen display (OSD) and hotkey commands, have been excluded to further ensure data integrity.CAC Port Supports Biometric and Other Smart Card ReadersThe Common Access Card port supports smart cards, scanners and biometric readers, including fingerprint readers, to bolster security. You may assign and register specific peripherals to the CAC port, providing a secure connection for user authentication.Anti-Tampering Protection Prevents Physical BreechesIf the housing is opened, internal anti-tamper switches will disable the unit, causing it to become inoperable and the front-panel LEDs to flash repeatedly. Seals on the enclosure will provide visual evidence of tampering.Maintains Constant Keyboard and Mouse Emulation for Smooth No-Delay SwitchingFull USB device filtering ensures support for keyboard and mouse only — no flash drives allowed. This KVM switch also supports secure video emulation and EDID learning, which prevents unwanted data from transmitting through the DDC lines. Both keyboard/mouse and video emulation controllers restrict discovery of newly connected peripherals or monitors during switching operations, shielding your computers from potential vulnerabilities.Accessory Cable Kits - P784-006-U and P784-010-UP784-006-U and P784-010-U KVM cable kits (sold separately) help eliminate unnecessary clutter and save you money by combining cables into one convenient kit. These cables comply with DVI 1.0 standards and support USB 2.0 speeds up to 480 Mbps.TAA-Compliant for GSA Schedule PurchasesThe B002-DV1AC8-N4 is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), which makes it eligible for GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.
